Not This Time is a book about the small community of Seagrove Village and the horrors that happened there because of NINA (Nihilists in Anarchy). The community is rocked when there is an attack at a wedding and a prized member of the community is killed. Beth and Sara are best friends who built a company after they finished college. When Sara married a man who Beth considered just after her money, she thought that was the worst that she would have to see Sara through, but she was wrong. When Sara's husband turns up kidnapped, Beth tries to be strong for Sara and try to help her through it, but Sara's reaction isn't what she expected. As Beth tries to reason through the unbelievable circumstances and her new found attraction for a man that she doesn't want to love, she finds out more about herself and her faith in God. Through many twists and turns, corruption, deceit, and treacherous acts, the community tries to rally and find the truth.
I really enjoyed this book, even though I didn't really expect to. When I received the book I didn't realize that this was the third book in a series, so I was a little out of the loop about the back stories of the characters, but once I got into the book, I was able to follow along without any trouble. I found the characters very easy to relate to. I do wish that I had read the other two books first just because it would have made it easier to understand the characters and their motivations. Overall, this book delivers everything it promises. It has suspense, intrigue, terrorists, love, and redemption.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Blogging for Books for the purpose of writing a fair and honest review. I received no other compensation.
